Guzel Bakeeva

guzel bakeeva

In Beading second term, we've been learning many different stitch techniques with delica beads.

One person who demonstrates complete mastery over this skill is a Russian designer, Guzel Bakeeva.

All her pieces use a variety of different stitches to create different accents like the red flower demonstrated here. She also creates bezel stone sets, mostly using a peyote stitch.

Guzel Bakeeva does all kinds of work. From necklaces and bracelets to bags and embroidered blankets.

Please visit her home website below. Although her website is in Russian, she has many images of her work there.

Memory Wire

I love working with Memory Wire.
Memory wire bracelet with end caps
I went through a HUGE faze with it about 5 years ago. I literally made around 50 different bracelets a week...

Memory wire bracelet with feather accents.
I actually made so many, that I did a photo shoot with my friend ,Sean Luchterhand, as the photographer, and my friends as models.

Dalana wore my wood collection

Constantly fixing clothes and makeup!

My cousin, Marise, modeling the purple line.

Cara in a red number.
Sarah wore the blue collection.

Please check out more of Sean's work!
