Textures in Metal

I love working with different textures in Metal.
This is doubly apparent when you look at some of my first creations.

This is the first ring I made. It's sterling silver and half an inch wide. That hammered pattern is made with a ball pein hammer, and I am almost overly fond of this texture. It really makes any piece of jewelry look very organic.

This is a sterling silver wrap-around ring textured with a riveting hammer. I love making these rings because they are so simple to create; no soldering required. :)
Also, if you're in the business of selling jewelry, these are perfect because the size can be easily adjusted (Depending on which finger you want to wear it on).

Intro to LaSalle

I go to school at LaSalle College Vancouver International.

Besides the fact that school is awesomely fun, (Who doesn't want to craft and make jewelry all day?) my fellow students make this place.

Mel and Me
Nicole (Always laughing!)
Kelly and Miss Meta

We are always helping each other out and ready to make the others laugh if a situation starts getting tough (Like when you have to redo a necklace for the 10th time because the loops aren't the same size, or a bead broke, or that stupid broach clasp wont solder on etc).

And though we may split off into our own corners of the world, from North Van and White Rock to Seachelt and all the way to Thailand and Australia, I believe we'll always remember these semesters we shared together.

So thanks for making this experience one I won't ever forget!
